CHAPAINAWABGANJ, July 18, 2020 (BSS)- Members of Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) arrested an alleged illegal drug peddler with 1.5 kilograms of heroin from Haripur Miapara under Chapainawabganj sadar upazila this afternoon.
The arrested was identified as Md Rubel Ali, 22, of Dighamiapara village under Godagari upazila in Rajshahi district.
RAB sources said, acting on a tip-off, an operation team of the RAB-5 from Chapainawabganj camp conducted a raid in the area around 12.30 pm and arrested Rubel with the contraband drugs (heroin) worth about Taka 1.50 crore.
Later, the arrested person was handed over to the police of Chapainawabganj Sadar Thana with a case, the sources added.
