JAMALPUR, July 18, 2020 (BSS) – A total of 170 teachers of non-monthly pay order (MPO) educational institutions and 110 village policemen in Melandah upazila of the district got cheques worth about Taka 14 lakh as incentives assistance today.
Chairman of Parliamentary Standing Committee on Textile and Jute Mirza Azam, MP, handed over the cheques among the beneficiaries as the chief guest at a function at Mirza Azam auditorium in the upazila.
Upazila Nirbahi Officer (UNO) Tamim Al Yamin presided over the cheque-distribution programme.
On the occasion, each of the beneficiaries received a cheque for Taka five thousand as incentives.
Among others, Chairman of Melandah Upazila Parishad Kamruzzaman, Mayor of Melandah Municipality Shafik Zahedi Robin and Upazila Secondary Officer Elahi Akanda were present during the time.
