CHAPAINAWABGANJ, July 18, 2020 (BSS) – A total of 43 more persons were tested positive for COVID-19 in the district in the last 24 hours, raising the total number of confirmed cases to 284.
Chapainawabganj Civil Surgeon office received the results of 173 samples last night from National Institute of Laboratory Medicine and Referal Centre, Dhaka, Civil Surgeon (CS) of Chapainawabganj Dr. Jahid Nazrul Chowdhury confirmed this.
Of the newly detected patients, 28 are from sadar upazila, seven from Shibganj upazila, two from Gomostapur upazila and six others from Bholahat upazila, he said.
Meanwhile, 97 patients have recovered from the disease during the period, he added.
