BOGURA, July 14, 2020 (BSS) – Police arrested a dacoit gang member after a shootout took place between police and dacoits at Nagaorjani village under Shibganj upazila of the district today afternoon.
The arrestee was identified as- Jilu Rahman alias Jilu Kana, 48, of Baluahat village in Sonatala upazila of the district.
Police also recovered a shooter gun, two machetes and some locally made weapons from the spot.
The gang was trying to robbery in Nagarjani area near Mahasthangar Museum in Shibganj upazila, police said.
Officer-in-Charge of Shibganj Police Station SM Badiuzzaman said different cases were pending with different police stations against Jilu.
