Case against Dr Sabrina handed over to DB
DHAKA, July 14, 2020 (BSS) – The case filed against JKG Health Care Chairman Dr Sabrina Arif Chowdhury and some others over issuing fake Covid-19 (Coronavirus) test reports has been handed over to the Detective Branch (DB).
“Detective Branch (DB) of police have been tasked with investigation into a case against Dr Sabrina . . . Dockets of the case were handed over to the DB last night,” Salahuddin Mia, officer-in-charge of Tejgaon Police Station, told BSS this afternoon.
On July 12, Tejgaon police arrested Dr Sabrina Arif Chowdhury, also a doctor of the National Institute of Cardiovascular Diseases (NICVD), for her alleged involvement in providing fake Covid-19 test certificates.
Dr Sabrina, a registrar doctor of the government healthcare institute, was temporarily dismissed for breaching government service rule 2018.
Earlier, the law enforcement agency arrested her husband and JKG Chief Executive Officer Ariful Chowdhury, and four others – Humayun Kabir and his wife TanzinaPatwary, Sayeed Chowdhury and Al Mamun – for their alleged involvement in issuing fake Covid-19 test reports.
