26 more test positive for COVID-19 in C’nawabganj
CHAPAINAWABGANJ, July 14, 2020 (BSS) – A total of 26 more persons were detected with coronavirus (COVID-19) positive in the district last night, raising the total number of infected patients to 225.
Civil surgeon office of Chapainawabganj received the results of 56 samples from Rajshahi Medical College Hospital PCR lab, civil surgeon Dr. Jahid Nazrul Chowdhury told BSS last night.
Of the newly detected patients, 13 patients are from Chapainawabganj Sadar upazila, one from Shibganj upazila, six from Nachole upazila, two from Gomostapur upazila and four from Bholahat upazila, he added.
He further added that most of the newly detected patients belong to the Chapainawabganj town and the adjacent areas.
He also confirmed one death in Chapainawabganj Sadar Hospital with corona symptoms. The Civil Surgeon said that the patient died last night around 8:30 pm and sample was collected from his body for testing.
