A minor boy killed in Manikganj road accident
MANIKGANJ, July 13, 2020 (BSS) –A minor boy was killed in a road accident at Purbo Basta Bus stand area on Hemayetpur- Manikganj regional High Way today (Monday).
The victim was identified as Mostafizur Rahman (7), son of Abu Mia of village Sudkhira under Jamirta union of Singair upazila of the district.
Locals and family sources said the accident occurred at about 8 am when a brick loaded Singair bound truck
(Dhaka Metro- Ta-050084) ran over him as the boy was crossing the road.
The critically injured Mostafizur was rushed to a private clinic at Hemayetpur under Savar upazila where on duty doctors declared him dead.
Abul Kalam Azad, Police Inspector (Investigation) of Singair Police Station said the truck was seized, but the driver and its helper managed to flee away.
A case was filed with Singair Police Station in this connection
