NEW DELHI, July 12, 2020 (BSS) – Legendary Bollywood actor Amitabh
Bachchan, his son actor Abhishek Bachchan, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan and
the megastar’s eight year granddaughter Aaradhya Bachchan have been
tested coronavirus positive.

Amitabh and Abhishek were diagnosed the covid-19 positive on
Saturday although Aishwarya and her daughter first time tested
negative yesterday. Later, in second the test they were tested
positive, Abhishek Bachchan tweeted this evening.

Amitabh and Abhishek have been admitted to the isolation centre of
the Mumbai’s Nanavati Super Specialty Hospital while Aishwarya Rai and
his daughter have been isolated at home in Mumbai.

Amitabh Bachchan’s wife also a prominent actress Jaya Bachchan has
been tested negative. But, she is in quarantined for two weeks.

However, Nanavati hospital sources said that the conditions of both
the actors were stated to be “stable” with “mild symptoms”.

Earlier, Amitabh Bachchan, 77, shared the news on social media on
Saturday and appealed to everyone who had met him in the last 10 days
to get tested.

Mumbai Municipal Corporation has carried out sanitization of Amitabh
Bachchan’s residence today morning, and it has been declared as
containment zone starting today, corporation mayor Kishori Pednekar
said today.

“No-one will be allowed to enter or exit from the house during the
period,” the mayor added.

“I have tested Covid-19 positive..shifted to
informing and staff undergone tests , results
awaited,” Amitabh Bachchan, tweeted.

However, Abhishek Bachchan in separate tweet yesterday said,
“Earlier today, both my father and I tested positive for COVID-19.
Both of us having mild symptoms have been admitted to hospital. We
have informed all the required authorities and our family and staff
are all being tested. I request all to stay calm and not panic. Thank

Amitabh Bachchan lives in Mumbai, which has been one of the worst
hit cities by the deadly respiratory disease in India.

After hearing the news, people from all walks of lives including
political leaders, the actor’s colleagues and fans shared messages in
tweeter wishing early recovery of the actors.

acclaimed worldwide as a great actor in Hindi films.
