DNCC fines 86 house owners Tk 2 lakh
DHAKA, July 12, 2020 (BSS) – Dhaka North City Corporation (DNCC) today found Aedes mosquito larvae at 86 houses and establishments and fined over Taka two lakh on the 8th day of the second-phase of its combing operation to eliminate mosquitoes.
During the drive, the city corporation teams today visited 13,081 houses, under construction buildings and establishments, said a press release citing a DNCC official.
Stagnant water and breeding ground of the mosquito were found at 7,700 establishments including houses and under-construction buildings.
On July, DNCC started the second phase 10-day combing operation under DNCC areas to destroy all breeding grounds of Aedes mosquitoes, carriers of both dengue and chikunguniya, added the press release.
The operation starts from 10 am and continues till 1 pm every day except Friday.
