Shipping secy. joins Covid-19 coordination meeting in Feni
FENI, July 11, 2020 (BSS) – Shipping Secretary Mohammad Mezbah
Uddin Chowdhury, who has been given the charge of Feni district to
coordinate the government’s efforts and relief programme over Covid-19
outbreak, today joined a coordination meeting at the deputy
commissioner (DC)’s conference room here.
Deputy Commissioner Md Wahiduzzaman chaired the meeting attended by
Sadar upazila chairman and district Awami League (AL) former president
Abdur Rahman, Cumilla Cantonment’s 28 medium regiment artillery
Captain Lieutenant Colonel Asif Ajmin and Local Government Division
Deputy Director Manjurul , among others.
They discussed the cattle market management ahead of the
forthcoming Eid-ul-Azha, one of the biggest religious festivals of the
Muslim community, which marks the sacrifice of animals.
The shipping secretary suggested the six upazila nirbahi officers
(UNOs) of the district encouraging people in online purchasing and
selling of sacrificial animals to avert the spread of deadly
coronavirus.
They also discussed maintaining of health guidelines and social
distancing rules in cattle markers, ensuring necessary equipment at
hospitals and carrying out online educational activities in the
district.
