Two drug traders arrested with 20,000 yaba in capital
DHAKA, July 10, 2020 (BSS) – Police in separate drives in the capital have arrested two drug traders and recovered 20,000 yaba tablets from their possessions.
The two arrestees are Md Morshedul Islam alias Morshed, 22, and Md Alal Miah, 19.
“A team of detective branch (Lalbagh division) arrested Morshed from Bongshal area in the evening of July 9 and recovered 10,000 yaba tablets from his possession,” a Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) release said today.
Confirming the matter to BSS, DB Lalbagh Division assistant commissioner Madhusudan Das said a case was filed with Bongshal Police Station in this regard.
Meanwhile, Jatrabari Police Station officer in-charge Mazharul Islam said they have arrested Alal Miah from in front of Energy CNG Pump in Saidabad area last night and recovered 10,000 yaba tablets from his possession.
The police official said a case was filed with his police station against Alal under anti-narcotics act.
