Faridpur Zila Parishad Chairman Lokman Hossain Mridha dies
FARIDPUR, July 10, 2020 (BSS) – Lokman Hossain Mridah, chairman of Faridpur Zila Parishad, passed away at a city hospital due to coronavirus this morning at the age of 76.
He left behind his wife, four sons and a daughter, grandchildren and host of relatives to mourn his death.
The freedom fighter, who was the vice president of Faridpur district awami League, also severed as a headmaster at Faridpur High School.
He was tested positive for coronavirus and was admitted to Faridpur Medical College Hospital on June 23.
Later, he was shifted to Sheikh Russel Gastro Liver Hospital for better treatment . As condition deteriorated, he was taken to ventilation support earlier.
Faridpur district Awami Leauge and its associate bodies , Bangladesh Administrative Service Association, Muktijoddha Sangsansad , Faridpur Sahitttaya O Sangskriti Unnayan Sangstha, Bangladesh Udichi Shilpi Gosthi and different socio cultural organisations expressed deep shock and sorrow at his death.
