TK 3 crore power line dev. works begins in Gouripur
MYMENSINGH July 10, 2020 (BSS)- The development works of power transmission line with an expenditure of around TK three crore 75 lakh has begun in Gouripur upazila of the district on Thursday.
Member of parliament and eminent freedom fighter Nazim Uddin Ahmed formally inaugurated the works at a function held at upazila parishad auditorium .
Organised by Power Development Board (PDB) Mymensingh zone the inaugural function was presided over by upazila Nirbahi Officer (UNO) Shejuti Dhar.
Chairman of the upazila parisad Mufazzel Hossain Khan, Executive Engineer (distribution) PDB Raihan Nabi, Executive Engineer Mustafa Zaman, Acting President of Uupazila Awami league Dr. Helal uddin and Joint Secretary AL Iqbal Hossain were among others , present on the occasion.
The lawmaker said, massive development works have been executed in power sector with special initiative of the Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina to bring entire country under cent percent power coverage .
Law maker urged all to maintain health safety guide lines and other rules, set by the government to contain further spread of COVID- 19 pandemic.
PDB sources said on completion of the works the people of Gouripur upazila would get uninterrupted power supply.
