DHAKA, July 9, 2020 (BSS) – The Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) has
got all-terrain vehicles (ATVs) to curb cross-border crimes including
smuggling, human trafficking and border killings by conducting prompt
and effective patrols.

An area of 328 kilometers out of 4,427 km border with India and
Myanmar has been identified as risky, a press release said here today.

The BGB has taken pragmatic steps to establish and expand
state-of-the-art “Smart Digital Surveillance and Tactical Border
Response Systems” in high-risky and sensitive border areas to provide
flawless security and surveillance and prevent border crime.

BGB can use ATVs by getting the information received from the
‘Smart Digital Surveillance and Tactical Border Response Systems’ set
up in different areas to make the security operations more smooth and
timely, the release added.
