1,030 families get rice from PM’s relief fund in Rangpur

RANGPUR, July 8, 2020 (BSS) – Some 1,030 poor and distressed families of all 33 wards in Rangpur City Corporation here today received 10 kg of rice each from the Prime Minister’s Relief Fund in the wake of coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic.

Rangpur city unit of Bangladesh Awami Motsojibi League (BAML) organised an informal function for distribution of the rice at Phul Amertol Bazar in the city strictly maintaining physical distance and health directives.

President of Rangpur city unit of Awami League (AL) Shafiur Rahman Shafi distributed 10 kg of rice packed in a sac bearing inscription ‘Gift from Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina’ among each of the families in the function as the chief guest.

President of Rangpur city unit of BAML Mostafizur Rahman presided over the function moderated by its General Secretary Mahfuzar Rahman Manik.

Local AL leaders Ferdous Rahman and Shahidul Islam, Vice-president of Rangpur city unit of BAML Haji Matlubar Rahman, its President of ward no-32 unit Majeda Begum Pikni, President of ward no-29 unit Morsheda Zaman, among others, were present.
