PANCHAGARH, July 7, 2020 (BSS)- The upazila administration distributed cheques amounting to TK 13, 12,500 among teachers and staffs of 28 non Monthly Payment Order (MPO) enlisted secondary schools in Debiganj upazila of the district today.
A total of 217 non -MPO teachers and 91 employees of 28 secondary schools got the money from the Prime Minister’s own fund as financial assistance in the on-going COVID -19 pandemic situation.
The function was held at Secondary Education office hall room with Upazila Nirbahi Officer (UNO) of Debiganj Prottoy Hasan in the chair while Upazila Chairman of Debiganj Abdul Malek Chisti addressed the function as chief guest.
Upazila Secondary Education Officer Mohammad Salimulla delivered the welcome speech which was addressed among others by Agriculture Extension Officer Shamim Ikbal, female Vice Chairman Ritu Akter, upazila Awami League President Gias Uddin Chowdhury.
As part of the aid each teacher will get TK 5000 and each employee will get TK 2500 from the fund.
After receiving the cheques the teachers and employees conveyed heartfelt gratitude to the Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina for her help in the on going COVID 19 period.
