Govt stands beside country’s people amid Covid19 pandemic: Shahab
DHAKA, July 7, 2020 (BSS)- Minister for Environment, Forest and Climate Change Md Shahab Uddin today said the government has stood beside people of all classes and professions of the country during coronavirus pandemic.
He made the remarks while speaking as the chief guest at a cheque distribution ceremony among teachers through online from his official residence here today.
The cheque amounting Tk 560,000 from the Prime Minister’s Office fund was meant for 120 non-MPO teachers working in various educational institutions in Baralekha upazila.
He said Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina has set a unique example by providing financial assistance to people of different classes and professions including imam, garment workers, farmers and non-MPO teachers as well as employees.
Shahab said Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina is tackling the corona pandemic with her prudent leadership.
Despite having many limitations, the efforts of the premier to tackle the coronavirus situation is being praised all over the world.
Among others, Upazila Parishad Chairman Shoaib Ahmed, Upazila Awami League General Secretary Anwar Uddin and Upazila Parishad Vice Chairman Tajuddin were present.
