One killed in Kurigram road accident
KURIGRAM, July 7, 2020 (BSS) – A man was killed and four others were injured this morning in a road accident in Trimohoni area of Kurigram Sadar.
The deceased was identified as Shah Alam, 40, son of Nurul Islam Sarkar.
Mahfuzar Rahman, Kurigram Sadar Police Station Officer-in-Charge told BSS that, the accident took place when a Rangpur-bound newspaper van collided head-on with a battery run auto rickshaw from Kathalbari to Kurigram.
Medical officer of Kurigram General Hospital Redwan Ferdous Sajib said the injured were rushed to Kurigram General Hospital where auto rickshaw driver Shah Alam succumbed to his injuries.
The injured are- Ayesha Begum, 50, Atiqur Rahman Bullet, 30, Nasima Rahman Lily, 27 and Dupur, 4.
Later, they were admitted to Rangpur Medical College Hospital.
