DHAKA, July 3, 2020 (BSS) – The ninth episode of the ruling Awami League’s ongoing webinar titled ‘Beyond the Pandemic’ will be held at 8.30 pm tomorrow (July 04).
Prime Minister’s Special Assistant Barrister Shah Ali Farhad will moderate the 9th episode titled ‘Role of Grassroots Awami League in Fighting COVID-19 Crisis’, said a release.
Bangladesh Awami League’s Joint General Secretary AFM Bahauddin Nasim, Organizing Secretary Advocate Afzal Hossain, General Secretary of Chattogram Metropolitan Awami League and City Mayor AZM Nasir Uddin, Member of Parliament (MP) of Bhola-4 Abdullah Al Islam Jacob, MP of Cox’s Bazar-2 Asheq Ullah Rafiq, MP of Khulna-6 Akhteruzzaman Babu and Bangladesh Krishak League’ General Secretary Umme Kulsum Srity, MP, will take part in the webinar as discussants.
Like previous days, the webinar will be broadcast live on the AL’s official Facebook page www.facebook.com/awamileague.1949 and Youtube Channel (https://www.youtube.com/user/myalbd) while the viewers can ask their queries and suggest ideas through Facebook during the live session.
It will also be broadcast live on private television channel Bijoy TV and Facebook pages of Somoy TV, Daily BhorerKagoj, Ittefaq, Samakal, Jugantor, Sarabangla.net, bdnews24.com, Barta24.com ,Banglanews24.com and Jagonews24.
According to AL sources, this webinar’s primary goal is to know what general people, especially the youth, are thinking about government and party activities and measures taken to tackle the pandemic.
Earlier, eight episodes of ‘Beyond the Pandemic’ were broadcast live on the Awami League’s Facebook page.
The latest episode was broadcasted on June 30 where the discussants talked about the post COVID-19 Bangladesh and the need of skill-based education for a young generation who will not depend on jobs, rather a generation who can survive any pandemic and keep the economy up and running.
The seventh episode focusing on ‘Public Health and Local Government’ was held on June 27 where Local Government, Rural Development and Cooperatives (LGRD) Minister Md Tajul Islam and five City Corporation mayors were connected online.
The sixth episode was broadcast on June 13 where the speakers discussed about the latest national budget during the coronavirus pandemic.
The first show titled ‘Public Awareness to Tackle Coronavirus’ was held on May 15 while the second episode titled ‘Humanitarian Aid during COVID-19 Crisis’ on May 19 and the third episode on May 30 when the speakers discussed the reasons for lifting shutdown and its effect.
The fourth episode was held on June 2 where the discussants talked about the roles and responsibilities of public representatives during the pandemic.
The fifth episode was broadcast on June 6 where the speakers discussed steps and initiatives taken for the health sector during the pandemic.
