Two more pvt hospitals to be prepared for COVID-19 patients in Khulna
KHULNA, July 3, 2020(BSS) – The Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS) is preparing two more private hospitals for the treatment of coronavirus patients along with first Khulna Diabetic Hospital in the wake of increasing COVID-19 patients of the district.
Civil Surgeon of Khulna Dr. Suzat Ahmed has already sent a letter to the two private hospitals to be ready. The decision was made because of increased patient pressure at Corona Dedicated Hospital here.
The two private hospitals are Gazi Medical College Hospital and Islami Bank Hospital. The letter from the Civil Surgeon asked Gazi Medical College Hospital to have 50 beds and Islami Bank Hospital to have 30 beds. Corona patients will be admitted to the two hospitals from next Sunday (July 5).
On Thursday, Civil Surgeon Dr. Suzat Ahmed confirmed the information and said that the treatment will be given in coordination with the doctors of the government hospital.
It is learned that the patients pressure has increased in Khulna Corona Dedicated Hospital. Eleven corona patients have been kept in the flu corner of Khulna Medical College Hospital due to lack of space in the 100-bed hospital. In this situation, it has been decided to admit patients in private hospitals.
After the detection of coronavirus patients were identified, the Khulna diabetic hospital made the first corona dedicated hospital in the district.
