Quality treatment and adulteration free food should be ensured-Tajul
DHAKA, July 2, 2020 (BSS) – In order to improve human health, hospitals need to be built and quality of treatment also needs to be improved as well as adulteration free food.
Local Government, Rural Development and Cooperatives Minister Md Tajul Islam today said while speaking as chief guest after inaugurating the modern food laboratory of Dhaka South City Corporation (DSCC) in the capital today, said a press release.
He also said, “as we need to build hospitals, improve the quality of medical care and we also need to ensure nutritious and adulterated free food for the people. There is no alternate of adulterate free and nutritious food to increase the human body’s resistance to disease.
Mentioning the importance of immunity system in the body Tajul said, If a person’s immunity system is increased, virus cannot easily infect him. Human immunity depends on the food-cycle. When food is adulterated, people are easily infected with small viruses, the release added.
He added, this modern food laboratory is as advanced as European countries and it would play a helpful role to provide contamination free food to the city dwellers.
Among others, Mayor of Dhaka South City Corporation (DSCC) Barrister Sheikh Fazle Noor Taposh, Senior Secretary of LGRD department Helaluddin Ahmed, and senior officials of Local Government Department and DSCC were present on the occasion.
It should be mentioned that, these modern food laboratories are being constructed in seven city corporations under the project “Urban Public and Environmental Health Sector Development” under the Local Government Department funded by Asian Development Bank.
