MYMENSINGH, July 2, 2020 (BSS) – Seventeen cyclone affected families of Dobaura upazila in the district today received 34 bundles of corrugated iron (CI) sheets and cheques for Taka one lakh as government assistance.
Chairman of the Upazila Parisad Dabid Rana Chechem distributed the CI sheets and cheques among the families on behalf of the local lawmaker Jewel Areng at a function at the upazila parisad premises.
Each of the family received two bundles of CI sheet and cheque of Taka 6,000.
Upazila Nirbahi Officer Rafiquzzaman, Upazila Project Implementation Officer Zakir Hossen, Chairman of Goshgeon union parishad Fazlul Haque, Chairman of Porakandulia union parishad Swapan Talukder, local Awami League leader Jalal Uddin, among others, were present the function.
Upazila Project Implementation Office (PIO) sources said 17 families of Goshypur, Banekura and Putimari bazaar of the upazila were badly affected by the recent cyclone.
