KHULNA, July 1, 2020 (BSS) – The entire number of coronavirus (COVID-19) patients has surged to 4,507 in the division as 231 new positive cases were reported during the last 24 hours till this afternoon.
Besides, the total number of recovered COVID-19 patients rose to 1,244 now with the recovery of 86 more patients in the division in the last 24 hours, Assistant Director (Health) of Khulna division Dr. Ferdousi Akhter told BSS this afternoon.
The official said the district-wise break-up of the patients now stands at 2,010 in Khulna, 194 in Bagerhat, 184 in Satkhira, 648 in Jashore, 209 in Jhenaidah, 144 in Magura, 198 in Narail, 622 in Kushtia, 222 in Chuadanga and 76 in Meherpur districts.
“The recovery rate among the total 4,507 coronavirus infected patients now stands at 27.60 percent in the division,” she said.
With the seven more death, the total number of fatalities reached 77 in the division including 26 in Khulna, four in Bagerhat, four in Satkhira, 12 in Jashore, three in Jhenaidah, three in Magura, seven in Narail, 10 in Kushtia, three in Chuadanga and five in Meherpur districts.
“Among the total 4,507 coronavirus infected persons, 508 are undergoing treatment at isolation units of different hospitals as 1,244 have recovered and 77 died while the rest of the patients are remaining in isolation at their respective homes in the division”, Dr. Ferdousi added.
