Two drug peddlers held with ganja in Rajshahi
RAJSHAHI, July 1, 2020 (BSS) – Members of the Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) arrested two alleged drug peddlers with 81.4 kilograms of ganja from a place in Naogaon district last night, Rab sources said here today.
The arrested were identified as Sohel Rana, 37, son of Anwar Hossain in Cumilla district and Muhammad Mijan, 30, son of late Muslem Uddin in the same locality.
On a tip-off, a team of the elite force conducted a raid in Ferry ghat area under Manda Upazila in Naogaon district around 10.30 pm and arrested them with the huge ganja after searching a private car, RAB sources said, adding that the team also seized the car.
Later, the arrested persons along with the seized car and contraband goods were handed over to police.
A case was filed with Manda police station in this connection.
