Two killed in Mymensingh road crash
MYMENSINGH, June 25, 2018 (BSS)- A woman and her child were killed and
four others injured in a road accident in Satrashia area on Mymensingh-
Tangail road under Muktagacha upazila of the district this noon.
The deceased were identified as Rifa Khanam, 27, wife of Mohammad Tareq
and Rifa’s three-year old son Nabil of Garbajail village under the upazila.
Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Muktagacha Police Station Ali Ahmed Mollah said
the accident occurred when a Muktagacha-bound CNG-run auto-rickshaw collided
head-on with a Dhaka-bound bus from Jamalpur in the area, leaving the duo
dead on the spot and injuring four others.
Locals rushed to the spot and rescued the wounded including Rifa’s husband
Tareq and her five-year old girl Morium.
The wounded were sent to Mymensingh Medical College Hospital (MMCH), the
OC added.
A case was filed in this connection.
