JP Chairman mourns loss of lives in Buriganga launch capsize
DHAKA, June 29, 2020 (BSS) – Jatiya Party (JP) Chairman and Deputy Leader of the Opposition in the parliament GM Quader today expressed deep shock and sorrow at the loss of lives in a launch capsize in the Buriganga River.
In a condolence message, he prayed for eternal peace of the departed souls of the victims and conveyed deep sympathy to their bereaved families.
The launch named ‘Morning Bird’ carrying over 50 passengers sank in the Buriganga River near Shyambazar here this morning, fire service sources said.
The Fire Service and Civil Defense personnel have so far recovered 32 bodies from the river after the launch accident.
