MANIKGANJ, June 28, 2020 (BSS) – Two students died after being bitten by
venomous snakes in Ghior and Shibalaya upazila of the district on Saturday.
The deceased were identified as Nayan Miah, 18, son of Abul Bashar of village Baratia under Ghior upazila and a student of 11 grade of Ghior Government College and Hasibul Hasan, 15, son of Abdul Kader of village Diarchar Shakrail under Shibalaya upazila and student of 10 grade of Tangail Cadet School and College.
In Ghior, the incident occurred last night while Nayan was returning home from his neighbour’s house.
Nayan was rushed to Ghior Upazila Health Complex where the duty doctors declared him dead.
Police said a poisonous snake bite Hasibul while he was flying kit near his house at Diarchar Shakrail village under Shibalaya upazila on Saturday evening.
Hasibul was rushed to Shibalaya Upazila Health Complex. Later, he died on the way to Manikganj 250-bed hospital.
