Digital fair begins in Bhola today

BHOLA, June 28, 2020 (BSS) – With a view to providing digital services to the people for building a digital service-recipient community, a three-day digital fair was inaugurated in the district today.

Deputy Commissioner Md Masud Alam Siddique inaugurated the fair through a video conference from his office’s conference room around 11:30 am.

The fair was organised by the district administration with the initiative of the government’s information and communication technology department and in collaboration with the Information and Communication Technology (ICT) Department and A2i (Access to information).

“Due to the Corona situation in the country, fairs have been organised digitally in 64 districts…This is a unique example in the implementation of Digital Bangladesh,” the Deputy Commissioner said.

Additional Deputy Commissioner (overall) Md. Atahar Miah presided over the function while Deputy Director of Local Government Mahmudur Rahman, Additional District Magistrate Mamun Al Farooq and other senior officials of the administration were present on the occasion.

On the occasion of the fair, texts, presentations, pictures, videos and necessary information of digital activities of various government departments at district level will be attached in the National Portal.

The overall activities of the entire fair will be showcased through Zoom Conference, Facebook and YouTube Live.
