KHULNA, June 28, 2020 (BSS) – A three-day ‘Online Platform Digital Fair-2020′ will begin tomorrow in the district with a call to make people aware about e-services amid Covid-19 situation and to engage them in the digital activities.
The services and activities of the fair will be presented at the district administration website (www.khulna.gov.bd).
To this regard, a seminar titled “Technology is the only tool in the Covid-19 situation” was held at conference room of the Deputy Commissioner here today.
Mayor of Khulna City Corporation Talukder Abdul Khaleque inaugurated the virtual seminar as chief guest with Deputy Commissioner Md. Helal Hossain in the chair.
Additional Divisional Commissioner (General) Hossain Ali Khondokar addressed the seminar as special guest.
The chief guest said during Covid-19 pandemic, the fair is a step towards providing extensive e-services to the citizen. Through this fair, people from district level will get the scope of getting aware of the e-services.
As a whole, the digitisation process has already created scope of employment and income generation in various ways including outsourcing, selling products through e-shop and providing different services at the Union Information Service Centres (UISCs), he added.
Additional Deputy Commissioner (Education and ICT) Yousuf Ali moderated the seminar. Additional Deputy Commissioner (Revenue) Ziaur Rahman, President of Khulna Press Club SM Nazrul Islam, President of Khulna Union of Journalist (KUJ) Munshi Mahbub Alom Sohag, among others, were present at the seminar.
