7th episode of AL’s webinar ‘Beyond the Pandemic’ today
DHAKA, June 27, 2020 (BSS) – The seventh episode of the ruling Awami League’s ongoing webinar titled ‘Beyond the Pandemic’ will be held at 8.30 pm today.
Prime Minister’s Special Assistant Barrister Shah Ali Farhad will conduct the 7th episode titled ‘Public Health and Local Government’, said a release.
Local Government, Rural Development and Cooperatives (LGRD) Minister Md Tajul Islam, Dhaka North City Corporation (DNCC) Mayor Atiqul Islam, Dhaka South City Corporation (DSCC) Mayor Barrister Sheikh Fazle Noor Taposh, Rajshahi City Corporation (RCC) Mayor AHM Khairuzzaman Liton, Narayanganj City Corporation (NCC) Mayor Begum Selina Hayat Ivy and Mymensingh City Corporation (MCC) Mayor Ekramul Haque Titu will take part in the webinar as discussants.
Like previous days, the webinar will be broadcast live on the AL’s official Facebook page www.facebook.com/awamileague.1949 and Youtube Channel (https://www.youtube.com/user/myalbd) while the viewers can ask their queries and suggest ideas through Facebook during the live session.
It will also be broadcast live on private television channel Bijoy TV and Facebook pages of Somoy TV, Ittefaq, Samakal, Jugantor, bdnews24.com, Banglanews24 and Jagonews24.
According to AL sources, this webinar’s primary goal is to know what general people, especially the youth, are thinking about government and party activities and measures taken to tackle the pandemic.
Earlier, six episodes of ‘Beyond the Pandemic’ were broadcast live on the Awami League’s Facebook page.
The last episode was broadcast on June 13 where the speakers discussed about the latest national budget during the coronavirus pandemic.
The first show titled ‘Public Awareness to Tackle Coronavirus’ was held on May 15 while the second episode titled ‘Humanitarian Aid during COVID-19 Crisis’ on May 19 and the third episode on May 30 when the speakers discussed the reasons of lifting shutdown and its effect.
The fourth episode was held on June 2 where the discussants talked about the roles and responsibilities of public representative during the pandemic. The fifth episode was broadcast on June 6 where the speakers discussed steps and initiatives taken for health sector during the pandemic.
