3 held for stealing money from city shop
DHAKA, June 27, 2020 (BSS) – Police, in separate drives in the city and Khulna, has recently arrested three persons for stealing Taka 24 lakh from a shop located at Haque Market under Kotwali Police Station in Old Dhaka.
The arrested are: Md Zahidul Islam Ripon, 34, Md Ohidur Rahman Milon, 26 and Aminul Islam,35.
Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) Kotwali Police Station Officer-in-Charge (OC) Md Mizanur Rahman has confirmed the matter to media today.
He said the money, belonged to a businessman Md Jewel Islam Mithu, it was stolen on his absence from his shop on Tuesday last.
Later, the victim lodged a case with Kotwali Police Station in this regard, he added.
The police official further said that the detainees have admitted the truth of the incident during the initial interrogation.
