Mirpur gas pipeline fire doused

DHAKA, Jun 26, 2020 (BSS) – A fire broke out at Shewrapara in Mirpur early this morning and it come under control after three hours following efforts by the fire fighters.

“The fire broke out from the gas pipeline at around 4.40am and the fire fighters brought it under control within three hours at 7.40am”, said Fire Service and Civil Defense duty officer Lima Khan.

The fire fighters said that the gas pipeline cracked when the Titas Gas workers were carrying out pipeline construction at Iqbal Road in Shewrapara and then all of a sudden the devastating erupted there from the spark of cigarette.

Nothing could be known about casualties yet.
