194 more positive tests for coronavirus in Khulna division
KHULNA, June 26, 2020 (BSS) – One hundred-ninety four more people were tested positive for coronavirus after testing their samples at the three COVID -19 laboratories in the division in last 24 hours till this afternoon, raising the total number of confirmed cases to 3,385.
“We received 282 samples of suspected coronavirus patients at KMC in Khulna and other samples in Jashore and Kustia laboratories in the last 24 hours and 194 of those were found COVID-19 positive,” said Assistant Director (Health) of Khulna division Dr. Ferdousi Akther.
“The district-wise breakup of the patients now stands at 1,445 in Khulna, 166 in Bagerhat, 150 in Satkhira, 470 in Jashore, 165 in Jhenaidah, 97 in Magura, 134 in Narail, 497 in Kushtia, 203 in Chuadanga and 58 in Meherpur,” Dr. Akther added.
Health officials said the newly detected 194 COVID-19 patients include 87 in Khulna, eight in Bagerhat, 14 in Satkhira, 31 in Jashore, eight in Jhenaidah, seven in Magura, one in Narail, 36 in Kushtia and two in Meherpur districts in the division.
