Govt working to cope 4.5cr youths with post COVID-19 employment

NATORE, Jun 25, 2020 (BSS) – In the backdrop of huge employment generation during the post corona period, State Minister for Information and Communication Technology (ICT) Zunaid Ahmed Palak today said that the global employment will be technology-based when the pandemic will over and the government is working to create such employment for the youths.

“The global employment scenario will be drastically changed after the corona pandemic … the employment will be technology-based, so the government is working to cope country’s 4.5 crore youths with the situation”, he said while distributing bicycle among 40 ethnic secondary students at Singra upazila court maidan here.

The government even has a plan to set up a ‘Virtual University of Management and Multi-Media Innovation’ in the country under the programme, said the ICT state minister.

To cope with the changing global situation, Palak said the government earlier has made the information technology mandatory in the education curriculum at the secondary level, so that the students can develop their expertise in technology through the Sheikh Rasel digital laboratories.

Elaborating the government initiatives in this regard, he said though all the educational institutes are being remained close during the corona pandemic, adding that a total of 5,621 classes have taken place through the Sangsad television aiming to keep the students busy with their study.

In addition to this, the ICT state minister said initiative has been taken to hold digital classes for 40 lakh university students where the students will take lesson and can submit their thesis papers through the system.
