Fire breaks out at plastic factory in old Dhaka
DHAKA, June 25, 2020 (BSS) – Firefighters brought a fire under control within a few hours after the fire broke out at a plastic factory in old city’s Showarighat area this morning.
“The fire broke out at a tin-shed two storey plastic factory at Debiddarghat lane in Showarighat under Chalkbazar police station around 10:30am”, said Fire Service and Civil Defence Department Duty Officer Lima Khan.
Six fire fighting units rushed to the spot, the officer said, adding the firefighters were able to douse the fire within 12pm.
The extent of damage and reason behind the fire were not known immediately.
