2 held with Yaba in Jamalpur
JAMALPUR, June 23, 2020 (BSS)- Members of the Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) in a drive arrested two alleged drug peddlers with contraband Indian made Yaba tablets in bordering area of Dewanganj Upazila of the district on Monday afternoon.
The arrested drug peddlers were identified as Al Musfikur Zaman Mamun, 21 son of Syed Zaman and Hemayet Ullah Himu,20 son of Sadek Hossain at village South Algarchar in Roumary Upazila under Kurigram district.
According to 35 battalion of Jamalpur BGB sources told BSS today acting on a tip off, a petrol team of Bagharchar raided Kadamtoli area in Dangdhara union in Dewanganj Upazila and arrested them.
Later , after the search BGB team recovered 197 pieces of Yaba tablets from their possessions.
A case was filed with Dewanganj police station in this connection.
