COVID-19 cases rise to 6,484 in Ctg

CHATTOGRAM, June 22, 2020 (BSS) – The number of coronavirus (COVID-19) cases rose to 6,484 as 192 more new patients were reported positive after testing 1,049 samples at five COVID-19 laboratories in the district in last 24 hours.

Of the newly detected 192 COVID-19 patients, 121 are the residents of the port city and the rest 71 are residents of different upazilas of the district.

Civil surgeon Dr Sheikh Fazle Rabbi said with today’s three more death, the total number of fatalities stands at 144 in the district till today and 700 patients released from the hospital after recovery.

Fifty-six more new COVID-19 cases were identified at Chattogram University after testing 180 samples in last 24 hours.

A total of 47 new COVID-19 patients were diagnosed at BITID, Chattogram after testing 270 samples in last 24 hours.

A total of 26 new COVID-19 patients were identified at Imperial Hospital after testing 184 samples.

Meanwhile, 52 more people tested COVID-19 positive at Chattogram Medical College Hospital (CMCH) after testing 303 samples during the same period.

Besides, nine new COVID-19 patients were identified at Chattogram Veterinary and Animal Science University (CVASU) after testing 100 samples, the civil surgeon said.

One person of Satkhania upazila was identified as corona positive after testing four samples at Cox’s Bazar Medical College Hospital today.
