26 died of COVID-19 in Narsingdi, 1240 cases so far detected
NARSINGDI, June 22, 2020 (BSS) – A total of 26 persons died of COVID-19 and 1240 persons have so far been found infected with the lethal virus in the six upazilas of the district.
Civil Surgeon Dr Mohammad Ibrahim Titan said so far 16 persons died of Coronavirus in Sadar, 3 in Belabo, 3 in Raipura, 1 in Polash, 1 in Shibpur and 2 in Monohardi upazilas .
He said a total of 1240 persons have also been found infected with the lethal virus in the six upazilas of the district after testing 5779 samples by now.
Among the infected persons, 817 are in Sadar, 109 in Shibpur, 101 in polash, 60 in Monohardi, 68 in Belabo and 85 in Raipura upazilas, he said.
He also said 655 patients have already recovered from the Coronavirus infection as at present 29 persons are undergoing treatment in hospital isolation and 530 are on home isolation.
