Forged covert cosmetics factory unearthed in Jamalpur, 1 held
JAMALPUR, June 21, 2020 (BSS)- Police in special drive unearthed a fake clandestine cosmetics factory and arrested its one worker with huge quantities of accessories in Bakshiganj Upazila of the district last night.
Acting on a tip off, a police team led by Sub-Inspector, Sharif Ahmed raided a house at Simarpar area in the Upazila and found the factory with huge quantities of spurious cosmetic of different famed brand items and substandard raw materials .
Police in the drive arrested a worker of the factory identified as Abdur Razzak, son of Fakir Mahmud at village Chinaduli in Islampur Upazila of Jamalpur district at around 11 pm last night .
Officer-in-charge, (OC) Bakshiganj Police Station, Shafiqul Islam told BSS that the unscrupulous people had been manufacturing spurious cosmetics of various local and foreign brand items in the factory for long.
OC said process for filing a case is on after finalizing the seizure list.
