Rangpur city AL arranges doa mahfil seeking recovery of ailing central leaders
RANGPUR, June 21, 2020 (BSS) – Leaders of city Awami League (AL) and its associate bodies at a milad and doa mahfil here on Saturday afternoon sought divine blessings for early recovery of the sick and COVID-19 infected ailing AL’s central leaders.
They participated in the milad and doa mahfil arranged at its office strictly maintaining physical distance and abiding by the health directives to prevent community transmission of the COVID-19 infection.
General Secretary of city AL Tushar Kanti Mandal addressed a brief discussion arranged on the occasion before the milad and doa mahfil conducted by Khatib of Puraton Bazar Jam-e-Mosque Hafez Moulana Muhammad Aasadullah.
Special munajats were offered in the doa mahfil for early recovery of former Home Minister and AL presidium member Advocate Sahara Khatun, COVID-19 infected Commerce Minister Tipu Munshi, former LGRD and Cooperatives Minister Engineer Khandker Mosharraf Hossain, Minister for Liberation War Affairs AKM Mozammel Haque, other AL MPs and leaders who are now undergoing treatments.
They also sought divine blessings for the departed souls of AL presidium member and 14-party alliance spokesperson Mohammad Nasim, state minister for religious affairs Alhaj Advocate Sheikh Md. Abdullah and former Mayor of Sylhet City Corporation and member of the AL central executive committee Badruddin Ahmed Kamran.
Tushar sought early recovery of all ailing central AL leaders and said that Mohammad Nasim and Sheikh Md. Abdullah will remain as sparkling national stars for outstanding contributions to politics, struggles for independence and War of Liberation.
“The two veteran politicians always stood beside Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina during every crucial moment of the AL and the country leaving an example of patriotism and self-less politics in serving the nation for the future generations,” Tushar said.
City AL leaders Delwar Hossain Talukder, Advocate Dilshad Mukul, General Secreatry of city Jubo League Murad Hossain, Convener of city Mohila Jubo League Shahnaz Beauty, General Secretary of city unit of Bangladesh Chhatra League Sheikh Asif, ward level AL leaders Shahidul Islam, Raihan Ali, among others, were present.
