Hasan condoles death of Jafar Alam
DHAKA, June 20, 2020 (BSS)- Information Minister Dr Hasan Mahmud today expressed deep shock and sorrow at the death of former deputy principal information officer of Press Information Department (PID) Jafar Alam.
In a condolence message, the information minister prayed for eternal peace of the departed soul and conveyed deep sympathy to the bereaved family.
In separate messages, State Minister for Information Dr Murad Hasan and Information Secretary Kamrun Nahar expressed their profound shock at the death of Jafar Alam.
They also prayed for eternal peace of the departed soul and conveyed deep sympathy to the bereaved family.
Jafar Alam, who received Bangla Academy Award for his outstanding contribution to literature, died of old-age complications at his residence in the capital last night.
