Speaker mourns death of veteran journalist Kamal Lohani
DHAKA, June 20, 2020 (BSS) – Jatiya Sangsad (JS) Speaker Dr Shirin Sharmin Chaudhury today expressed profound shock and sorrow at the death of noted journalist and Ekushey award winning veteran freedom fighter Kamal Lohani.
In a condolence message, she prayed for eternal peace of the departed soul and conveyed deep sympathy to the bereaved family, an official release said here today.
In separate condolence messages, JS Deputy Speaker Md Fazle Rabbi Miah and Chief Whip Nur-E Alam Chowdhury also expressed deep shock and sorrow at the death of Kamal Lohani.
Kamal Lohani died this morning in the city’s Sheikh Russel Gastro Liver Institute and Hospital at the age of 86.
