Ministers condole death of Kamal Lohani
DHAKA, Jun 20, 2020 (BSS) – Finance Minister AHM Mustafa Kamal today expressed deep shock and sorrow at the death of noted journalist and language movement veteran Kamal Lohani.
In a condolence message, he said Kamal Lohani was a prominent organizer of Swadin Bangla Betar Kendra and he contributed a lot to the development of art and culture in the country.
Terming him a unique personality in the arena of journalism, the minister said his death was an irreparable loss to the nation and the country.
Foreign Minister Dr AK Abdul Momen, Expatriate Welfare and Overseas Employment Minister Imran Ahmad, Post and Telecommunication Minister Mustafa Jabbar, Agriculture Minister Dr M Abdur Razzaque, Fisheries and Livestock Minister SM Rezaul Karim, Textile and Jute Minister Golam Dastigir Gazi, Environment, Forest and Climate Change Minister M Shahabuddin, State Minister for Civil Aviation and Tourism M Mahbub Ali and State Minister for Women and Children Affairs Fazilatunnesa Indira and Deputy Leader of the Jatiya Sangsad Syeda Sajeda Chowdhury also expressed profound shock and sorrow at the death of noted journalist Kamal Lohani.
They sought eternal peace of the departed soul and conveyed deep sympathy to his bereaved family members.
Kamal Lohani breathed his last this (Saturday) morning at Sheikh Rasel Gastro Lever Institute and Hospital at the age of 86.
