Jatiya Party Chairman condoles death of Kamal Lohani
DHAKA, June 20, 2020 (BSS) – Jatiya Party Chairman and Deputy Leader of the Opposition in Parliament Ghulam Muhammed Quader today expressed deep shock and sorrow at the death of noted journalist and Ekushey Padak recipient Kamal Lohani.
In a condolence message, he said Abu Nayeem Mohammad Mostafa Kamal Khan Lohani was popularly known as Kamal Lohani, adding that he (Lohani) contributed a lot to promoting the culture of the country when he was director general of the Shilpakala Academy.
Recalling his contribution, the opposition leader said Kamal Lohani had successfully carried out his role as a president of the Dhaka Union of Journalist (DUJ) and played an important role in realizing the right of the Journalist community.
“The country has lost an ideal guardian at the death of Kamal Lohani,” he said.
He prayed for eternal peace of the departed soul and conveyed sympathy to the bereaved family members.
Jatiya Party Secretary General and Chief Whip of the Opposition Md. Mashiur Rahman Ranga also expressed deep shock and sorrow at the death of the noted cultural personality Kamal Lohani.
