ICT prosecutor Rana Das taking treatment at Sikder Hospital for COVID-19
DHAKA, June 19, 2020 (BSS) – Coronavirus (COVID-19) infected International Crimes Tribunal (ICT) prosecutor Advocate Rana Das Gupta and his wife are currently receiving treatment in city’s Sikder Medical College and Hospital.
Rana, also general secretary of Bangladesh Hindu Buddhist Christian Unity Council, reached Dhaka from Chattogram along with his wife by an emergency ambulance on Thursday, hospital sources said.
Both of them are quite well at the hospital, the sources added.
Rana Das tested positive for COVID-19 on June 17.
Meanwhile, the Prime Minister’s Office is overseeing the treatment of Rana Das Gupta after getting the news of his illness.
Deputy Minister for Education Barrister Mohibul Hasan Chowdhury Nowfel made the overall arrangement for the couple to come Dhaka for better treatment.
Barrister Biplob Barua, special assistant to Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina, is looking after the overall condition of their treatment.
