CHATTOGRAM, June 19, 2020 (BSS) – Bangladesh Railway (BR) eastern zone has formed a ‘Quick Response Team’ to provide overall assistance to its officers and employees in case of coronavirus infection, as COVID-19 cases are increasing here gradually.
A 10-member committee led by Chief Medical Officer (CMO) Samsul Alam Md Imtiaj has been formed to run the ‘Quick Response Team’.
BR Eastern Zone Divisional Manager Sadequr Rahman said the ‘Quick Response Team’ committee was formed on Thursday (June 18).
The member of the committee will contact the concerned person or family in case of coronavirus affected. If necessary, the team will meet them and they will supply food, medicine and safety equipment based on their demand, he added.
The number COVID-19 infection cases have risen to 5,912 in Chattogram district, A total of 136 people died of coronavirus and 571 COVID-19 patients were released from hospitals after recovery till today.
