Labor ministry instructed to use Corona Tracer APP
DHAKA, June 18, 2020 (BSS) – Officials and employees of the Labor Ministry and its subordinate departments have been instructed to use “Corona Tracer BD App”.
Letters signed by Labor and Employment Ministry ICT cell Programmer Ariful Haque have been sent to all the officers and employees of the Ministry and along with the Department of Inspection of Factories and Establishments under the Ministry, Department of Labor, Bangladesh Workers Welfare Foundation, Central Fund, Minimum Wage Board, Head of Labor Appeal Tribunal, said a press release issued here.
The letter states that in the current COVID-19 situation, the ‘Corona Tracer BD’ app which has been test transmitted by the ICT department, the Ministry of Labor and Employment and all the departments and offices under it are instructed to download and use it.
The letter also said the ICT department has created the “Corona Tracer BD App” for citizens to prevent the spread of the corona virus across the country, added the release.
The app will identify COVID-19 positive people and anyone to get near them will receive an alert message on their smart phone.
