PANCHAGARH, July, 18, 2020(BSS)- Different kinds of vegetables seeds including brinjal and Borboti , and other fertilizer were distributed as agriculture incentive among 320 small and marginal farmers in all ten unions under Debiganj upazila of the district here today.
Debiganj upazila Department of Agriculture Extension (DAE) arranged the distribution programme in a function held at the premises of upazila parishad with Upazila Nirbahi officer(UNO) of Debiganj Prottoy Hasan presided over the function.
Speaking on the occasion, Upazila Agriculture Officer Samim Ikbal said the government has given vegetables seeds and fertilizer as agriculture incentive among farmers for cultivation of insecticide free vegetables.
He said insecticide free vegetable will protect us from infecting various diseases and every body should consume 200 gram vegetables per day .
“ Each farmer will get TK 1932 as incentive for cultivating insecticide free vegetables, ‘ he said .
Upazila chairman of Debiganj Abdul Malak Chistee addressed the function as the chief guest while upazila Awami league President Gias Uddin Chowdary spoke on the function as special guest
