Banglalink, Teach it introduce online live classes for PEC examinees
DHAKA, June 17, 2020 (BSS) – Mobile phone operator Banglalink and community-driven e-learning platform Teach it have jointly introduced online live classes for PEC examinees.
The initiative has been taken to facilitate remote learning for the students impacted by ongoing Covid-19 outbreak, said a press release today.
To be conducted by qualified teachers, the online live classes will be broadcast from Sunday to Thursday every week on the Facebook page of Teach it https://www.facebook.com/teachitonline/.
Starting from June 21, the classes will run from 6pm to 9:30 pm on each of the aforementioned days.
Students can also engage themselves with the sessions by asking questions and working on the assignments suggested by the teachers.
All the recorded versions of the online classes will be available on the digital platforms of Banglalink Toffee and Teach it afterwards. Banglalink users can browse the content free of charge visiting www.teachit.online.
Teach it is one of the participants of IT Incubator, a digital entrepreneurship program run by Banglalink and Bangladesh Hi-Tech Park Authority.
Banglalink is supporting Teach it to launch live classes as part of its efforts to develop the startup ecosystem in the country.
State minister for ICT Zunaid Ahmed Palak said “We have witnessed how digital initiatives can benefit people during such a critical time by giving them access to essential facilities.”
Bangladesh Hi-tech Park Authority Managing Director Hosne Ara Begum said “Teach it has given us an indication of real potentialities of our digital entrepreneurs through this initiative, and if we continue supporting them, they will surely come up with many endeavors like this.”
