Discussion on US-Bangladesh trade, commercial corridor held

DHAKA, June 17, 2020 (BSS) – A discussion on strengthening US-Bangladesh trade and commercial corridor was held virtually today.

The US Chamber of Commerce’s US-Bangladesh Working Group organised the event in view of the novel coronavirus (COVID-19) situation.

Prime Minister’s Private Industry and Investment Advisor Salman F Rahman, State Minister for ICT Division Zunaid Ahmed Palak, PM’s Principal Secretary Dr Ahmad Kaikaus, Bangladesh Ambassador to the USA Md Ziauddin, US Ambassador in Dhaka Earl R Miller and Senior Vice President of South Asia, US Chamber of Commerce Nisha Biswal, among others, took part in the discussion.

More than 100 Bangladesh and US business organisations and firms joined the programme on the digital platform.

The dialogue provided an opportunity to hear from industry leaders on topics including business continuity best practices, new growth and investment scopes, redesigning supply chains and logistics, and broader economic recovery and rejuvenation in Bangladesh.
